To apply the patch, do the following: Go to your The Sims 2 installation folder and find Sims2EP9.exe (for Ultimate Collection from Origin, it is located in ~\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSBin\).
